A superb lifetime impression on laid paper with Three Crescent watermark (Bromberg 5) and wide margins. Signed in the plate. This impression was in the former Jules Michelin collection. His ink stamp (Lugt 1490) is on the verso. Jules Michelin (1817-1870) worked in the French customs administration. But he was also a talented landscape painter and printmaker. His sons André and Edouard founded the famed tire company Michelin.
