A superb impression on chine appliqué on wove paper with full margins. This impression is from the posthumous edition of 50 proofs before the reduction of the plate that were intended for the luxury edition of a biography of Bresdin by Louis Godefroy and Marius-Ary Leblond,  'La vie nomade de Rodolphe Bresdin'. The biography was never published. 125 impressions of the reduced and steel-faced plate were also made for the first copies of Dirk van Gelder's catalogue raisonné. According to van Gelder, there are no known lifetime impressions of this etching.
